Annual Car Giveaway at Honda of Cleveland
Each December, Honda of Cleveland gives away a brand-new vehicle to a deserving member of our community — a tradition we’ve proudly upheld since 2019. It’s more than a giveaway. It’s our way of honoring the everyday heroes who make our region stronger, kinder, and better connected.
2025 Giveaway: Honoring Local Teachers
This year, we’re celebrating educators. Every month in 2025, one exceptional teacher is nominated for their dedication, creativity, and impact in the classroom. At the end of the year, all monthly honorees are invited to a live reverse drawing here at the dealership — where one will drive away in a brand-new Honda Civic.
The event, hosted in partnership with Mix 104.1 WCLE, is one of the most exciting and meaningful moments of the year. It brings together families, students, and community members to show appreciation for those who shape our future, one lesson at a time.

A Look Back: Past Recipients
Since launching the program in 2019, we’ve proudly honored individuals from across our region — each making a lasting impact in their own way. Each year highlights a new group of community leaders:
- 2019: Local Veterans

- 2025: Teachers (again — because we can’t thank them enough)
2024: See the Moment It All Happened
Last year’s giveaway honored a group of local pastors, each nominated for their commitment to service and their role as leaders in our community. As each finalist stepped forward to share what winning a new Honda Civic would mean to them, we heard stories of worn-out vehicles, long commutes, and a heart for giving — including one pastor who planned to donate his current vehicle to a homeless member of his congregation if he won.
In the end, Pastor Mickey Clark of Crossroads Community Church was the final name left in the reverse drawing. His emotional reaction and words of humility — “just to be seen… it’s good stuff” — perfectly captured why we do this every year.
