Officer of the Month: Detective Courtney Burger
Bradley County Sheriff’s Department
We’re proud to recognize Detective Courtney Burger of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department for her quick thinking and dedication to the community.
Detective Burger recently responded to a call from a resident who believed money had been stolen from her home. While investigating, Detective Burger began experiencing a headache and quickly suspected something more serious was going on. She contacted the fire department, who confirmed there was a gas leak in the home. The leak was safely repaired, and once the danger had passed, the resident remembered where she had placed her money. Detective Burger’s attentiveness and care quite literally made this a life-saving investigation.
